a) WHAT ASIAN TIGERS CAN OFFER

Asian Tigers Thailand is glad to be of service. As our new customer, we shall strive to provide you with the best moving services available in Thailand. We understand the problems facing newcomers and we are confident of making your transition as seamless as possible with our expertise, experience and knowledge.the_move

 

i) Our Normal Delivery Services

Importation of your Household Goods

  • Assistance with import documentation
  • Application for your import permit
  • Clearance through Thai Customs
  • Delivery to your residence
  • Unloading and placement of all packages into your residence
  • Unpacking per your instructions (as much or as little as you require)
  • Placement of your furniture
  • Simple assembly of beds and other items.
    (complicated pieces may require our Handyman Service)
  • Removal of the packing debris on day of delivery and one free return trip
Note: Payment of import duties & taxes on your behalf, if any, port or warehouse storage charges, second deliveries, Sunday or holiday deliveries, and stair carry past 3rd floor for oversized items are not included in our normal delivery services and are charged according to each case.

ii) Our Optional Services (may incur additional charges, if not included in the move cost.)

  • Special Handling and Hoisting

Asian Tigers can perform or arrange a specialist to perform the following services:

* Grand piano delivery, set up, and tuning

* Delivery of heavy safes

* Waterbed set up

* Grandfather clock set up

* Hoisting of large items into windows

 

iii) Handyman Services

Asian Tigers can provide handyman services to assist you with:

* Picture and mirror hanging

* Shelving

* Directional lighting and ceiling fan installation

* Adaptor plugs

* Patching of holes on walls

 

iv) Cleaning Services

Asian Tigers can arrange to clean your new residence prior to your shipment delivery, if necessary.

 

v) White Gloves - Valet Service (charged additionally)

Asian Tigers can provide two assistants to help you with the following upon moving in:

* Wipe clean cupboards and shelves

* Unpack delicate ornaments / china / crystal

* Wash china and glasses before placing into kitchen cupboards

* Place ornaments on shelves or into cabinets

* Unpack clothing and hang them in wardrobes

* Arrange books neatly on bookshelves

* Iron bed linen only (no clothing)

* Make up beds

 

vi) Warehouse Storage

Asian Tigers maintains both normal and air – conditioned / climate controlled storage facilities if you do not have room for all your belongings in your new residence, or need somewhere to store your effects whilst waiting for your new home to be ready to move into.

 

vii) Loss / Damage Claims Assistance

If you need special assistance with processing a damage claim, Asian Tigers can assist – please see details in Section 3

 

viii) Our Value – added Service - complimentary for all our clients

 

  • “Getting To Know Bangkok” Coffee Morning

This is a quarterly get – together initiated by Asian Tigers for newcomers to gather more information about Bangkok as well as to make new friends. An interesting speaker will be in attendance to address any concerns you may have about Bangkok

  • Welcome Newcomers’ Cocktail Party

An invitation to an evening cocktail party is a fabulous way to meet new friends and to help settle into a new home. To welcome our new customers, Asian Tigers will host a cocktail party quarterly at one of Bangkok most popular places.

  • Cultural Mornings

As an added service to enrich the Bangkok experience for our customers, we organise periodically events like Museum trips, upcountry shopping excursions & other talks on interesting subjects.

 

b) DELIVERY CHECKLIST

 

Arrival Destination

[ ] Contact Asian Tigers to notify us of your arrival, contact numbers, and confirm your date and address for delivery.
[ ] Make sure you complete and submit import Customs forms and other important documents for clearance of shipment (e.g. photocopied passport and letter from employer, etc.).
[ ] Give special instructions for specialists to assemble your grand piano, water - bed or pool table.

Prior to Shipment Delivery

[ ] Make arrangements for cleaning or renovation (if required) to be completed 2 days before date of delivery.
[ ] Give some thought to placement for furniture and heavy items.
[ ] Label rooms for easy placement of individual boxes and furniture (e.g. John’s room, Maggie’s room, baby’s room, living room, dining room, etc.).

On The Day When Shipment Arrives

[ ] Inventory List – Tick against the number for items delivered to ensure all items are received and direct them to the respective rooms.
[ ] Upon full accountability of all items, allow the movers to unpack your cartons and to remove the debris at the end of the day. Generally, it is best to unpack in one or two days at a time, using four to five movers.
[ ] Let the supervisor know if you want to unpack certain boxes on your own.
[ ] Look for any visible signs of damaged, mark it down on the Inventory List.
File a claim and notify your move co–ordinator as soon as possible.

 

c) WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF DAMAGES UPON DELIVERY...

As a professional moving company, Asian Tigers will take the utmost care and precaution to ensure the safe delivery of your personal effects and household.

However, if in the event of any items have been damaged beyond our control, Asian Tigers will notify your origin mover who arranged insurance for you, or your company if they are self insured, of any claims forthcoming from you.

  • DO NOT PROCEED with any repairs or dispose of damaged items until you have spoken with your insurance company.
  • Note down all damages in detail on the inventory list and / or delivery note (e.g. Box 92 – chair, one leg broken)
  • Checklist of documents you may need for filing claims:
    • Repair estimates and photographs
    • Original insurance policy
    • Original Ocean Bill of Lading / Airway Bill (Asian Tigers will supply)
    • Copy of Delivery Note (Asian Tigers will supply)
    • Packing List
    • The completed claim form with description of damages
    • Surveyor’s Report (Please refer to individual insurance company on requirements ant referrals)

For a shipment that has had insurance arranged by the Origin Agent

  • Upon completion of unpacking, Asian Tigers will notify the Origin Agent on your behalf that a claim is forthcoming. As all policies are different, you should take instructions from the origin agent on how to proceed.

For a Company self – insured shipment

  • You should contact the human resource personnel of your company for claim instruction.
  • Asian Tigers may assist by providing names of repair specialists and supporting documentation for your claim, however, you will normally need to submit your claim to the insurance company.
